Improvements to the existing wastewater treatment facility include a new filter and operations building, new grit structure, new chlorine contact chamber, new clarifier control structure, replacement of various pumps and other process equipment, and electrical and mechanical system upgrades. Construction began in 2025. Piping and chemical equipment will be ready for service in early 2026.<\/li>\n<li>The new operations building which includes new filters, electrical equipment for the facility, and operations space is under construction. The filters are scheduled to be operational in Summer of 2026.<\/li>\n<li>The new clarifier control structure is under construction while the facility is experiencing low flows during winter. The structure will be operational in Spring of 2026 before flows increase.<\/li>\n<li>Secondary spitter structure is demolished, and temp piping has been completed. Construction of the new structure will take place in early 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>July 14, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction started at the wastewater treatment plant in May of 2025.<\/li>\n<li>The contractor is working on the new grit chamber structure and new chlorine contact basin along with installing new site piping.<\/li>\n<li>Construction of the new operations building will begin later this summer and will include installation of new filtration equipment to meet mercury limits.<\/li>\n<li>Various treatment equipment and pump replacements will be occurring as equipment is delivered to the site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>April 10, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The contractor plans to begin construction at the wastewater treatment plant in May of 2025 beginning with construction of the new chlorine contact basin and clarifier control structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space
