Informational Meeting

• Where: Atrium Area at the Blue Earth Ag Center located at 415 Grove Street, Blue Earth, MN
• When: February 20, 2025 from 5-6pm

Blue Earth Light and Water (BELW) plans to complete a water service replacement project in 2025. Your property is scheduled to be included in this summer’s construction project. We kindly ask for your help and participation as we are working through the details of this project.

How can you help?

1. Read the letter you received earlier this month with further details regarding this project before completing and returning the enclosed form by February 24th, 2025.
2. If you choose to participate in the project, you will need to sign the Water Service Replacement Agreement and schedule an onsite visit with BELW.

Project Update – 1/31/2025

Blue Earth Light and Water (BELW) plans to complete a water service replacement project in 2025. Communications were sent to properties scheduled to be included in this summer’s construction project. BELW requests for property owners to read the letter, attend the informational meeting on February 20, 2025 from 5-6pm at Atrium Area at the Blue Earth Ag Center located at 415 Grove Street, Blue Earth, MN, and sign and return the Water Service Replacement Agreement.

Project Update – 10/16/2024

Notification of Accessibility of the Service Line Materials Inventory

Blue Earth Light & Water has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at (507) 526-2191. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections.

As of October 16, 2024, our inventory contains:

• 232 lead, 7 galvanized requiring replacement
• 454 unknown material
• 1,006 non-lead service lines
