23rd Street Reconstruction

Hibbing Public Utilities, in coordination with the City of Hibbing Annual Paving Plan, will be reconstructing 23rd Street between 1st Avenue East and 9th Avenue East. The project will include a full roadway reconstruction with improvements to water main and services, hydrants, gas lines, and steam lines. The roadway and utilities are old and beyond reasonable repair with the water main in the area originally installed in the 1920s. Project construction is expected to take place from May to August of 2025.
