Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, follow posted signage, and use designated crossings.<\/p>\n<h2>255th Avenue \/ Highway 169 closure begins July 13<\/h2>\n<p>Beginning <strong>Monday, July 13<\/strong>, weather permitting, 255th Avenue will close between Faith Community Lutheran Church and Morrison Avenue (2nd Street south of Main Street). Residents will still be able to access the church from Highway 169. Use Morrison Avenue to access the compost site. Please do not enter private driveways.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/clients.bolton-menk.com\/hwy169andcr4\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/194\/2026\/06\/HWY-169-CR-4-255-to-169-Compost-Access-Map-255-Closure.jpg\">Review the access map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2nd Street \/ County Road 4 remains closed<\/h2>\n<p>The 2nd Street intersection is currently closed while crews work on excavation and utilities.<\/p>\n<h2>3rd Street \/ County Road 4 is open<\/h2>\n<p>Crews are finishing paving at this intersection.<\/p>\n<h2>Morrison Avenue (2nd Street south of Main Street) remains closed<\/h2>\n<p>Morrison Avenue will reopen in mid-July from Main Street to the compost access point. Crews continue water main and storm sewer installation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/clients.bolton-menk.com\/hwy169andcr4\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/194\/2025\/11\/HWY-169-CR-4-2nd-Street-Closure-Access-Map.jpg\">Review the access map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>269th Avenue remains closed<\/h2>\n<p>This week crews are wrapping up paving and concrete driveway placement.<\/p>\n<h2>MnDOT cable median project<\/h2>\n<p>Motorists may encounter periodic lane closures on Highway 169 south of Zimmerman as the Minnesota Department of Transportation installs high-tension cable median barrier. Read more on MnDOT\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dot.state.mn.us\/news\/2026\/04\/27-d3-169.html\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Access compost site via 255th Ave<\/h2>\n<p>When heading West on 255th Ave, please keep left and follow signage to the compost site. Do not enter private driveways.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/clients.bolton-menk.com\/hwy169andcr4\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/194\/2026\/05\/HWY-169-CR-4-255-169-R-CUT-Access-Maps_255-Inset.jpg\">Review the access map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Roadwork<\/h2>\n<p>Bridge construction has reached a major milestone. Crews completed girder installation and began placing the bridge deck this week.<\/p>\n<p>Embankment construction continues north and south of the bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Crews continue grading, drainage installation, and roadway preparation work at the Highway 169 entrance and exit ramps. Additional paving work is underway and will continue into early July.<\/p>\n<p>Retaining wall construction remains underway, with crews continuing panel installation over the next several weeks.<\/p>\n<h2>Utility work<\/h2>\n<p>Utility crews continue to work in multiple areas, including Morrison Avenue and along County Road 4. The Oak Street access to Highway 169 is permanently closed.<\/p>\n<h3>Access west of Highway 169<\/h3>\n<p>Westside access to\/from Highway 169 will be maintained via Main Street with a temporary traffic signal at the Highway 169 \/ Main Street intersection. Access to 5th Avenue North (near the Caribou Coffee), Gateway Drive and the newly constructed 255th intersection will remain open as well.<\/p>\n<h2>County Road 4 intersection closures<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The intersections of County Road 4 and Main Street, 2nd Street, and 3rd Street will be intermittently closed throughout the summer. Closures will not overlap. <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">We will share information about these closures once they get closer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The County Road 4 \/ 3rd Street intersection is currently closed for 3 to 4 weeks for underground utility work.<\/li>\n<li>Drivers can utilize nearby roads to access businesses in the area. Access signs will be installed to help drivers navigate the area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Morrison Avenue (2nd Street south of Main St) closed through spring<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Access to compost site continue to be maintained via 255th Avenue.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/clients.bolton-menk.com\/hwy169andcr4\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/194\/2025\/11\/HWY-169-CR-4-2nd-Street-Closure-Access-Map.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Review the access map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>253rd Avenue access<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The frontage road access onto Highway 169 north of 253rd Avenue is permanently closed.
