Construction Updates

9/2:

Please view the September Construction newsletter.

Alleys: Construction began on the four alleys between Mertens street and  Rice street this week! A few notes regarding upcoming construction:

  • The contractor will do their best to restore access to the alleys at the end of each working day.
  • When the alley is inaccessible, residents should park on adjacent streets. Please note, recreational vehicles and trailers cannot be parked on the street for more than 24 hours per City ordinance. Please plan accordingly.
  • Additional grading work in the alleys will occur during the week of 9/5
  • Concrete work is tentatively scheduled late in the week of 9/5. There will not be access to the alleys for 5-7 days after the concrete is poured to allow for the concrete to cure/harden. Please note this work is weather and schedule dependent and could change on short notice. Additional notification will be distributed to residents prior to the upcoming concrete work.
  • Garbage Pickup: garbage will be picked up at the front of your residence, as access to the alleys for garbage truck will be restricted. Please place your garbage can at the street in front of your property on your respective garbage day. Garbage cans must be pulled off the street after your garbage day. Cans cannot be stored on the street.

Whispering Meadows:

  • Watermain installation is complete with exception of some minor service work scheduled for early next week.
  • A majority of the concrete curb and gutter and driveways were installed this week. The remainder of the concrete work is tentatively scheduled for mid to late next week. New concrete cannot be driven over or parked on for 5-7 days after it is poured to allow for the concrete to cure/harden. Please note this work is weather and schedule dependent and could change on short notice. Additional notification will be distributed to businesses prior to the upcoming concrete work.
  • Additional roadway grading will be completed over the coming weeks with base course paving tentatively scheduled for mid to late September. Additional notification will be distributed prior to paving.

Please note that all  work is weather dependent and the schedule could change on short notice. For more information on the project, please visit the project website at www.jordanmnengineering.com
