Temporary no parking signs will be installed for more specific guidance.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>During the paving process, driveway access will be maintained. If you need to drive over the fresh asphalt, please keep your speed low to avoid spinning your tires and harsh turning motions. Construction is expected to start late spring or early summer and last several months. This will be updated with more detail once the contract is awarded and the contractor submits their proposed construction schedule.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Q: What work will be done?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>A:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><u>Street Resurfacing:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The proposed improvements include a combination of mill and overlay and full depth reclamation. The following streets in the Lowertown Area are proposed to receive a 2\u201d mill and overlay:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Third Street from Mertens Street to Broadway Street<\/li>\n<li>Fourth Street from Syndicate Street to Rice Street<\/li>\n<li>Fifth Street from Varner Street to Rice Street<\/li>\n<li>Sixth Street from Syndicate Street to Varner Street<\/li>\n<li>Syndicate Street from Fourth Street to north of Sixth Street<\/li>\n<li>Mertens Street from Second Street to Fourth Street<\/li>\n<li>Wood Street from Second Street to the start of Wood Circle<\/li>\n<li>West Street from Second Street to north of Sixth Street<\/li>\n<li>Varner Street from Second Street to north of Sixth Street<\/li>\n<li>Rice Street from Second Street to Broadway Street<\/li>\n<li>Creek Lane from El Dorado Drive up the bluff to Sunset Drive<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The following streets in the Lowertown Area are proposed to be full depth reclaimed in place:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Fourth Street from Rice Street to Broadway Street<\/li>\n<li>Wood Street form Fourth Street to the start of Wood Cirlce<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The resurfacing improvements in the Lowertown Area and along Creek Lane will also include ADA pedestrian ramp improvements, and spot curb and gutter replacement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><u>Alley Improvements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The alley between Broadway Street and Mill Street, \u00bd block south of First Street is also proposed to be improved adjacent to a new parking lot. The improvements for this block of alley include installing a new 6\u201d concrete pavement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><u>Parking Lot Improvements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Construction of two parking lots including the installation of curb and gutter and bituminous pavement:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>The historic Jordan Brewery property<\/li>\n<li>City owned parcel off First Street, between Broadway Street and Mill Street behind the Pickled Pig.
