2024 Street Improvements

Project Overview

The City of Little Canada utilizes a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to schedule public infrastructure improvements over a ten-year period. City Staff and the City Council review and update the Capital Improvement Plan each year during the budgeting process. All street improvement projects will be funded by a combination of special assessments and the City’s Infrastructure Capital Improvement Fund. More about funding below.

Improvements in 2024 will take place along portions of:

Country Drive (South Owasso Blvd to Railroad Tracks)

• Roadway rehabilitation (mill and overlay, seal coating)
• Minor underground utility adjustments

Jackson Street (South of Little Canada Road)

• Full road reconstruction
• New curb and gutter
• Underground utility adjustments

Residents will be notified of any detours, parking restrictions, utility disturbances or any other impacts the improvements may cause. Sign-up for project updates to receive the latest project information.

As mentioned above, funding for this project is a combination of special assessments and the City’s Infrastructure Capital Improvement Fund. A special assessment is a fee or charge that is levied to a benefiting property to help fund the project. Through special assessments consistent with City policy, property owners will all share in the costs to rehabilitate the roadway.
