2018 Street & Utilities Project

Project Summary

The 2018 Street Improvements Project includes the reconstruction of various streets, storm sewer, and watermain throughout the City of Orono. This includes milling existing pavement sections and overlaying new bituminous pavement on Vine Place as well as Lyric Avenue from Livingston Avenue to Blaine Avenue. Additionally, mill and overlay work with storm sewer replacement and guardrail installation will be performed on Leaf Street from Bayside Road to Watertown Road and Forest Lake Landing. Work to be completed on West Lafayette Road includes watermain and water service replacement, reclamation of the bituminous surface, and construction of curb and gutter in some areas. Construction activities on Wildhurst Trail and Minnetonka Highlands Lane include storm sewer construction, curb and gutter and guardrail or portions of the roadway, and reclamation of the bituminous surface. Lastly, the northern end of Linden Lane will be realigned with some culvert replacement as well.
