Project Update – April 25, 2024
A newsletter was previously distributed to each resident within the project area and can be found in the Documents section located on this page. The following is the current project status and outlook for the week of April 22 and April 29.
Week of April 22:
- Tree and stump removals are in progress and will continue into the week of April 29.
- CenterPoint Energy’s gas main replacement project is in progress on Grace Avenue SW, 10th Street SW, Rice Avenue SW, and 8th Street SW.
Week of April 29:
- Tree and stump removals will continue for the entire project area.
- CenterPoint Energy will be replacing the gas main on 13th Street SW.
Street and utility reconstruction is planned to begin on 8th Street SW on May 6th. A newsletter will be handed out to each resident with more information regarding the project prior to the start of the street and utility construction.
