        Check your Water Softener<\/strong><\/h4>\n

        If you adjust your softener to reflect the new water hardness of 17 grains per gallon, Worthington Public Utilities thanks you. We must reduce our chloride discharge to meet our permit limits and protect Okabena Creek. There\u2019s another step you can take, you can have your softener adjusted even more to increase salt efficiency. A water conditioning professional will come to your home or business and complete these adjustments free of charge. While there, they will also determine if your softener is an old timer-based or another inefficient softener. Rebates are available for the replacement of these older high salt use softeners.<\/p>\n
