Atwater North Side Improvement Project Overview
The City of Atwater is reconstructing parts of the North Side of Atwater.
The improvements include:
- Asphalt streets with concrete curb and gutter
- Concrete driveway aprons
- Sanitary sewer, manholes and sewer services
- Watermain, hydrants with isolation valves, mainline valves and water services
- Storm sewer, storm manholes and catch basins
Project Map
Project Updates – July 12, 2024
Construction is continuing on the North Side Improvement project. The Contractor’s anticipated schedule is provided below:
4th Street N & Ramsey Avenue W:
- Week of July 8
- The street base construction is substantially complete, with only touch up grading of the gravel base remaining. The installation of the base course of asphalt pavement will occur during the 2024 construction season. Future updates will be provided for the Contractor’s anticipated schedule for paving.
- Concrete curb and gutter installation is complete
- Concrete driveway installations will be completed by the end of today
3rd Street N:
- Week of August 5
- Due to delays in the Contractor’s schedule, the underground utility installation is planned to begin the week of August 5th
Idaho Avenue W:
- To avoid construction overlapping with the start of the school year, construction on Idaho Avenue W has been delayed until the 2025 construction season
Additional Notes:
Garbage/Recycling: Residents are asked to label their garbage and recycling bins by writing their house number on a piece of tape and attaching it to their bins. Place the bins near the street on pick-up days and the contractor will move them as needed for pick-up.
New Concrete: After concrete is poured in front of your driveway, it requires a minimum of 7 days to build enough strength to be driven on. Please refrain from driving on any concrete that is less than 7 days old.
