The City of Aurora is reconstructing the West 1^st Avenue North roadway and utilities from CSAH 100 (Main Street) to Pine Grove Park (N 5^th Street).  The project will replace the storm sewer, watermain distribution pipe and service laterals, and most of the sanitary sewer collection system and service laterals.  In March 2024, the City received a $1.5 million grant through MnDOT’s Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) to assist with pavement replacement costs.  The City is actively pursuing other funding sources through the MPCA and MDH to assist with utility replacement costs.
