Southwest Improvement Project

Overview

Project Overview

The City of Eden Valley has completed multiple projects in previous years to improve deteriorated infrastructure throughout the community. The Southwest Improvement Project is another step in the continued process to address infrastructure priorities in Eden Valley. This project will replace sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, and other utilities, as well improve streets, sidewalks and alley surfaces in the project area.

Construction Goals

  • Essential infrastructure in the project area is in poor condition and needs to be improved. Addressing deteriorating infrastructure will improve quality of life in the project area by increasing reliability and efficiency of utilities and streets.
  • Sanitary sewer improvements consist of replacing the sewer mains, manholes, and services. These improvements will reduce tree root problems and infiltration, and increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Watermain replacements will replace existing mains, valves and hydrants, add new mains where needed, replace services to properties, and improve water system reliability.
  • A new storm sewer system will improve drainage in the project area.
  • Streets, alleys, and sidewalks will be reconstructed, and curb and gutter will be installed on reconstructed streets.

project area

The project area includes the following streets:
  • Rails Avenue W, from the west dead-end to State Street (TH 22).
  • Park Avenue W, from the west dead-end to State Street (TH 22).
