McNamara Construction is scheduled to begin paving the final layer of pavement on all stages of the project beginning on Thursday, May 14 (weather permitting).
Paving is anticipated to begin in the morning and last about a half a day. Please have all cars off the street during paving.
During paving, you will have limited or no access to your driveway for short durations while work occurs in front of your property. The asphalt will typically be installed at temperatures between 275° F and 350° F. Please have children stay away from the asphalt until it cools, which will be after it’s rolled the same day. If you need to drive over the fresh asphalt, please keep your speed low to avoid spinning your tires and harsh turning motions.
Access is anticipated to be restored shortly after the asphalt is paved (within an hour) so the roadway can be used the same day it is installed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you have any questions or concerns during construction, please call Brad Fisher at (612) 759-7240.
Thank you for your continual patience and cooperation throughout the process of improving your street and utilities!

Project Update: May 1, 2020
Week of April 27
Punchlist and warranty work began.
Week of May 4
Punchlist and warranty work will continue. This includes removal and replacement of deficient concrete. If concrete failed within a driveway, access for that property will be temporarily restricted to replace it. Property owners that will have their driveway access affected by this work will receive a paper notice at their front door. Please be on the lookout for this notice. O’Malley concrete is expected to be onsite to complete the concrete work on Tuesday, May 5th, weather dependent. Please have your vehicles out of your driveways by 9:00am on Tuesday, May 5th. If work is delayed, it will occur the following day. After the work is completed, you may park on the street adjacent to your property. Please stay off the new concrete for a full 3 days from the time of installation to allow the concrete to cure enough to withstand vehicles.
Parking and Access information
All project streets are completely open. When the final layer of asphalt is placed in the coming weeks, the road will be temporarily closed to thru traffic for a couple days.
FAQ
Q: Why isn’t the asphalt pavement laid all the way to the top of the concrete curb?
A: The final lift of asphalt pavement will be installed in the spring of 2020. This is done so if any settlement issues arise over the winter, they can be corrected before the road is completed.
