Project Updates

June 20, 2025 

Week of June 23

• Progress was slowed this week due to all the rain received.
• The contractor completed the mainline sanitary sewer and watermain as well as the service pipes from the mains in the street to the property line from Oak Street to Morningside Drive.
• The contractor started installing storm sewer from Morningside Drive to Oak Street.
• The contractor removed the remaining driveways and curb along N. 4^th Street from Morningside Drive to Market Street.
• The contractor began hooking up temporary water to properties in Phase 3B (N. 4^th St from Boright St to Market St).

Week of June 30

• The contractor will finish underground utilities from Oak Street to Morningside Drive.
• The contractor will begin installing underground utilities along N. 4th Street from Market Street to Boright Street.
• The contractor will work on grading the roadway along N. 4th Street from Bridge Street towards Morningside Drive.
• The contractor will work on switching properties in Phase 1 (from Oak Street to Morningside Drive) off of temporary water back on to City water.

The reopening of Phase 1 is planned for early July. The reopening of Phase 3B and Phase 2 is planned for late August prior to the start of the next school year. The total project is anticipated to consist of five (5) phases of construction and the project substantial completion date is November 2025.
