What is the Project?

The City of Spring Valley has been evaluating infrastructure systems throughout the city and is currently considering a street and utility improvement project in 2023 as part of an on-going effort to improve and maintain infrastructure.

The 2023 Street & Utility Improvement Project will be a joint effort with Fillmore County and consist of full reconstruction of the streets, sanitary sewer, watermain and stormwater facilities of Farmer Street (County State-Aid Highway 8).

Project Location Map:

Project costs are currently estimated at approximately $2.5 million. A portion of the project costs within the reconstruction areas will be assessed to adjacent and/or benefiting property owners in general accordance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. Costs related to water main improvements will not be assessed.
