- Prior to and throughout construction, the school district and the Iowa DOT will be working on improving traffic flow in the school area. Once construction is complete, the goal is to utilize Highway 110 and Highway 7 to alleviate congestion in the area.
- Flashing beacons were installed at the Highway 110 and Highway 7 intersection in the Fall of 2021 by the Iowa DOT to indicate the high-traffic area. The beacons will likely be removed once construction of the intersection is completed.
- A traffic light will be added to the intersection of Highway 110 and Highway 7 to ease congestion and promote safety.
- Safety is the top priority for this project. The project area is frequented by many students, commuters, farming and industrial traffic, and residents daily.
- Businesses east of the Highway 110 and Highway 7 intersection will have access maintained throughout construction.
