Overview

Project Overview

The City of Welcome is improving the street, sanitary sewer, and stormwater infrastructure on 1st Street, 2nd Street, Welcome Street, Quarterline Street, Mill Street, Kruse Street, and the surrounding area.

Proposed improvements include replacing the street surfaces and adding improved concrete curb and gutter. Storm sewer improvements will be made throughout the project to improve capacity and storage. Sanitary sewer improvements will add new pipes, manholes, and lines to residences.

Tentative Schedule

Construction is tentatively slated to start in June 2025, with some work continuing into spring 2026.

Project Improvements

1st Street: Street, sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer improvements from Welcome Street to Quarterline Street, approximately 570 feet.

2nd Street: Street, watermain, and minor storm sewer improvements from Welcome Street to Quarterline Street, approximately 500 feet.

Welcome Street: Gravel street, sanitary sewer, and watermain improvements from 1st Street to Van Amber Street, approximately 750 feet.

Quarterline Street: Street, sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer improvements from 1st Street to 2nd Street, approximately 350 feet.

Mill Street: Street, sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer improvements from Cleveland Street to South Dugan Street, approximately 1,100 feet.

Kruse Street: Street, sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer improvements from 3rd Street to 4th Street, approximately 370 feet.

Sanitary sewer improvements from 1st Street and Cleveland Street for approximately 400 feet.

Sanitary sewer improvements from Welcome Street to Quarterline Street (north of 2nd Street) for approximately 510 feet.

Sanitary sewer improvements from Welcome Street to Quarterline Street (south of 2nd Street) for approximately 510 feet.
