10th Street NW Improvement Project
Proposed Improvements
The City of Willmar is planning to improve the 10th Street NW area in 2024. Design is currently underway, with construction anticipated to begin in May.
Improvements include:
- Asphalt streets with concrete curb and gutter
- Concrete driveway aprons
- Sanitary sewer system
- Water main, hydrants and water services
- Storm sewer system
Project Updates – May 7, 2024
A newsletter was previously distributed to each resident within the project area and can be found in the Documents section located on this page.
The following is the current project schedule for the weeks of May 6, May 13, and May 20.
Week of May 6:
- CenterPoint Energy’s gas main relocation project will be completed.
- Construction signage will be installed.
- Tree removal is expected to begin near the end of the week.
Week of May 13:
- Complete tree removals
- Begin removals of existing pavement and concrete curb and gutter.
- Begin sanitary sewer construction.
Week of May 20:
- Complete sanitary sewer construction.
- Begin watermain construction.
Garbage & Recycling: Once construction has begun, the Contractor will be moving bins during pick up days to a centralized location for pick up. We ask that all residents label their garbage can with their house number by using a piece of tape and marker. Pick up times may vary during construction, and we ask that residents please bring bins to the end of your driveway the evening prior to pick up.
