10th Street NW Improvement Project
Proposed Improvements
The City of Willmar is planning to improve the 10th Street NW area in 2024. Design is currently underway, with construction anticipated to begin in May.
Improvements include:
- Asphalt streets with concrete curb and gutter
- Concrete driveway aprons
- Sanitary sewer system
- Water main, hydrants and water services
- Storm sewer system

Weekend of July 20
- Gravel installation at the intersection of 10th Street NW and Ella Avenue NW
Week of July 22
- Gravel installation from Lake Avenue NW to Ella Avenue NW
Week of July 29
- Pavement removal from Lake Avenue NW to Gorton Avenue NW
- Begin sanitary sewer installation from Lake Avenue NW to Gorton Avenue NW
Garbage & Recycling: The Contractor will be moving bins during pick up days to a centralized location for pick up. We ask that all residents label their garbage can with their house number by using a piece of tape and marker. Pick up times may vary during construction, and we ask that residents please bring bins to the end of your driveway the evening prior to pick up.
