10th Street NW Improvement Project
Proposed Improvements
The City of Willmar is planning to improve the 10th Street NW area in 2024. Design is currently underway, with construction anticipated to begin in May.
Improvements include:
- Asphalt streets with concrete curb and gutter
- Concrete driveway aprons
- Sanitary sewer system
- Water main, hydrants and water services
- Storm sewer system
Project Updates – July 3, 2024
Week of July 8
- Completion of removals north of Lake Avenue
- Grading of roadway north of Lake Avenue
- Initial grading of boulevard areas north of Lake Avenue
- Removal of pavement at Lake Avenue and south of Lake Avenue
- Beginning of Sanitary Sewer work south of Lake Avenue
Week of July 15
- Sanitary Sewer work south of Lake Avenue
- Water main work south of Lake Avenue
Garbage & Recycling: The Contractor will be moving bins during pick up days to a centralized location for pick up. We ask that all residents label their garbage can with their house number by using a piece of tape and marker. Pick up times may vary during construction, and we ask that residents please bring bins to the end of your driveway the evening prior to pick up.
