Eagle Lake Lift Stations 7, 8, & 9

Overview

The City of Willmar is undertaking a lift station and sanitary sewer improvement project to the Eagle Lake sanitary sewer system.  This project will reconstruct Lift Station 7 along US 71/MN 23, and Lift Station 8 along 47^th Ave NE, and rehabilitating Lift Station 9 along North Eagle Lake Road.

Project Updates – December 11, 2024

The following is a tentative schedule for the construction in each of the project areas. If construction is delayed due to inclement weather, assume it will proceed the following day.

Lift Station 7

• All major work complete
• Seeding and final restoration to be completed in the Spring of 2025
• Impacts:
  • No anticipated impacts to residents or motorists.

Lift Station 8

• All major work complete
• Seeding, tree planting, and final restoration to be completed in the Spring of
  2025
• Residents with additional concerns should contact Resident Project

• Impacts:
  • No anticipated impacts to residents or motorists.

Lift Station 9

• All work complete
• Remaining seeding and final restoration work to be completed in the Spring of
  2025
• Impacts:
  • No anticipated impacts to residents or motorists

Work Area

It is very common on these types of projects that area residents (especially children) become quite curious about the work the Contractor is performing. We ask that you please be respectful of and stay well clear of construction zones. Many hazards and dangers exist from heavy machinery, trenches, loose material, confined spaces, hot asphalt, etc. and often times are not recognizable by the general public. The Contractor has responsibility to ensure safety on the project and within the construction area.

Punch List

After the project is substantially complete, the contractor will be provided with a “punch list” of minor defects or uncompleted tasks. That work may take several weeks to completed following substantial completion of all three lift stations. This punch list work will require both your cooperation and patience: please contact the RPR for any issues you feel have not been addressed.
