Project Updates

July 19th, 2024

2024 improvements (Phase 1) will include 3rd Avenue from 9th Street to 11th Street.

Status updates will be posted to the website as the project moves forward.

1^st Block – 3^rd Avenue (10^th Street to 11^th Street)

• Watermain and water services are complete.
• Sanitary sewer main is complete. The last sanitary service will be completed tomorrow.
• Storm sewer will be completed today.
• Frontier is lowering their fiber optic lines and vaults.
• Sidewalk construction will start next week. Followed by roadway grade preparation.

2^nd Block – 3^rd Avenue (9^th Street to 10^th Street)

• Steam heat system removal and the temporary water services are complete.
• The Frontier fiber optic line and vault lowering is complete.
• Water connections and piping are complete within the 9th Street intersection.
• Sanitary Sewer construction will begin next week. Followed by storm sewer and watermain.
• Any water shutdown notifications will be issued by the City 24 hours prior to the work.

10th Street Intersection

• The intersection at 10th Street will remain open until after the Turkey Day celebration.
• After the Turkey Day weekend, the 10th Street intersection will be closed for removals and
  concrete pavement.
