Project Updates
April 19, 2023
- The Contractor (LCS) has begun Spring activities with grading and base preparation for the concrete walks and driveways. Grading activities are expected to be completed by the middle of next week. As driveways are prepared with gravel base, they will be temporarily ramped so that you have vehicular access. The street will remain open during this process.
- Prior to sidewalk construction, any underground sump pump drains will be completed to the back of walk. This pipe will be below the sidewalk.
- The concrete sub-contractor is scheduled to start sidewalk construction the first week of May. The walk will be poured first, and then the driveways will be completed.
- All sidewalks and driveways are scheduled to be completed by the middle of May.
- During concrete work you will not have access to your driveways for 7-10 days. Please plan accordingly once we start forming in front of your home. It is also encouraged that you park outside the limits of the project during the concrete work for safety reasons and to allow the process to be completed quickly.
- The Public Utilities department has set the foundations for the new streetlights and will be running new power lines and installing the light poles once the concrete driveways are complete.
- We appreciate everyone’s patience during the progress of this project. Please contact Bolton & Menk staff (Justin Olson) at 507-848-6927 or the City Engineering office with any questions or concerns.
