Overview
Project Overview
The South Templar Park Sanitary Sewer Improvements project will upgrade portions of the Iowa Great Lakes Region’s sewer system in Orleans, Iowa, and nearby areas to help maintain reliable wastewater service for residents, visitors, and local facilities. Additional improvements are planned near Loch Knolls, Lakeshore Drive, Sunrise Drive, and the DNR restroom facility at Templar Park. Together, these updates will improve system function and strengthen long-term infrastructure serving the Okoboji and Orleans area.
Project Goals
- The project will relocate an existing manhole and extend the 8-inch sanitary sewer main to improve service reliability and capacity in the South Templar Park area.
- The improvements will upgrade infrastructure serving the South Templar Park Homeowner’s Association while supporting regulatory compliance and future growth.
- The project will move through design, permitting, bidding, construction, and closeout within the approved schedule and budget.
- Project partners will coordinate with private stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and contractors to keep the work aligned throughout the project.
