Project Updates

Work Completed This Week

• Sanitary sewer main on Stage H-South (CSAH 83) was completed.
• Sanitary sewer main on Stage U (Upper 291st Street and Dinsmore Avenue) began.
• Rock removal for sanitary sewer construction on Stage T (Danel Avenue) continued.
• Concrete sidewalk was poured on the north side of 292nd Street east of the railroad.
  • Some sections have been left out as they are waiting on the relocation of communication utilities. These sections will be poured once these utility relocations are completed.

Construction Work Next Week

• Sanitary sewer service construction on Stage H-South will begin.
• Sanitary sewer service construction Stage U (Upper 291st Street and Dinsmore Avenue) will begin.
• As rock is removed, sanitary sewer construction on Stage T will continue.
• The final lift of asphalt will be paved on Stage D & E (292nd Street east of the railroad). The road will NOT close during the paving, please follow directions from the construction flaggers during the paving operation.
• The final lift of asphalt will be paved on Stage I (Dixie Avenue), Stage K (Dickman Avenue South), Stage L (Distad Path), Stage M (Divers Path), & Stage N (Douglas Avenue).

Upcoming work

• Construction on Stage S (Davisson Avenue) & Stage R (Davisson Avenue & 290th Street) are planned to begin after the school year ends.

News & Notes

• As indicated in the notice that was shared with homes receiving sod, the warranty period for the sod placed in front of your house will last 30 days from the date of installation. After this warranty period, care and survival of the sod will be the property owner’s responsibility. Do not mow the sod until it has had a chance to take root. All sod issues must be reported to Jamie Hand at 612-965-3926 within the warranty period.

• Restoration and cleanup work on County Road 88 (292nd Street) and other stages completed in 2024 will begin when weather allows. These roads will remain open during this work.

Upcoming work

• Stage H-South (CSAH 83) sanitary sewer construction is planned to begin in 1-2 weeks. This portion of County Road 83 (Dickman Avenue) will be closed during construction and access the area will be from County Road 86 to the North.
• Stage U (Upper 291st & Dinsmore) sanitary sewer construction is planned to begin in 2-3 weeks.

• The pavement on Stage V (Duncan Avenue) was reclaimed, turned into gravel, and hauled away
  for later use.
• Some pipe work began north of the city on County Road 83 (Dickman Avenue). Both directions
  of traffic on County Road 83 will remain open during this work.

• Stage H-South (CSAH 83) sanitary sewer construction is planned to begin in 2-3 weeks. This portion of County Road 83 (Dickman Avenue) will be closed during construction and access the area will be from County Road 86 to the North.

  when weather allows. These roads will remain open during this work.

News & Notes

The Contractor mistakenly put up road closure signs beginning April 28 on County Road 88 Tuesday night into Wednesday. This will not happen, and County Road 88 is planned to remain open for the remainder of the project. There will be 1-2 days in May when the final layer of asphalt will be paved east of the railroad under a flagging operation. Further communication will be sent out once the exact date of the paving is determined.

The contractor sprayed a seed and mulch mixture earlier this week before the snow fall. This is only a temporary product to help prevent erosion during the spring snow melt/rain. All areas will receive their permanent restoration, such as sod, in the spring.

• Reminder: Dakota County is offering grants for sanitary sewer connection. Applications are due by the end of 2024.
