Project Update – September 13, 2024

Work Completed This Week

  • Sanitary sewer main construction on Stage D (292nd St East of the railroad to Duncan) began and was completed.
  • Storm Sewer Construction in Stage C (Danel to Cooper) continued
  • Street construction on Stage C continued
  • Curb and gutter was poured in the intersection of Dickman and 292nd St

Construction Work Next Week

  • Storm Sewer Construction in Stage C (Danel to Cooper) will continue
  • Street construction on Stage C will continue
  • Sewer & Water Service Construction on Stage D (292nd St East of the railroad to Duncan) is expected to begin on Monday
  • Retaining wall construction is expected to begin
  • Stage E (Duncan to Hwy 56), Stage N (Douglas), and Stage L (Distad) will be grounded into gravel in preparation for sewer construction
  • Stage N sanitary sewer construction could begin late next week, weather permitting. If the contractor is unable to start this work next week, it will wait until after Stage E

Upcoming Construction Work

  • Sanitary Sewer Construction on Stage E is expected to begin in one week
  • Sidewalks on Stage A will be completed after retaining wall construction (1-2 Weeks)
  • Bituminous paving on Stage B (Dickman to Danel), Stage I (Dixie), intersection of Dawson/292nd st, and the intersection Dickman/292nd St are expected to be paved in 1-2 weeks

 News & Notes

  • The primary access to the School for the next few weeks will be via Dickman to 290th St and south on Davisson Ave. A link to an access map to the school can be found HERE
  • Reminder: Dakota County is offering grants for sanitary sewer connection. To date the County has only received 3 applications. Applications are due by the end of 2024.
