What is the Project?
The City of Spring Valley has been evaluating infrastructure systems throughout the city and is currently considering a street and utility improvement project in 2025 as part of an on-going effort to improve and maintain infrastructure.
The 2025 Street & Utility Improvement Project will be a joint effort with Fillmore County and consist of full reconstruction of the streets, sanitary sewer, watermain and stormwater facilities of Tracy Road (County State-Aid Highway 8) from Broadway Ave to North Section Ave.
Project Location Map:
Project costs are currently estimated at approximately $3.8 million. The City was awarded a $1.5 million grant through the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) which will go towards the project cost. A portion of the project costs will be assessed to adjacent and/or benefiting property owners in general accordance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. Costs related to water main improvements will not be assessed.
