Project Overview

Infrastructure improvements are planned to be constructed or reconstructed to provide the public with a sustainable system of roads, utilities, and sidewalk to augment the City with greater connectivity among residents, safer traveling for vehicles and pedestrians, and a healthier quality of life. These improvements consist of the following project components:

• Reconstruction of Second Street between Walnut Street and Maple Street.  This reconstruction involves street/curb replacement, removal and replacement of the sanitary sewer and watermain systems, and expansion of the storm sewer system.  Portions of the street reconstruction, sanitary sewer, and watermain items are proposed to be assessed.
• Reconstruction of Cedar between First Street and Second Street.  This reconstruction involves street/curb replacement, expansion of the storm sewer system, and installation of a rain garden.  Portions of the street reconstruction are proposed to be assessed.
• Construction of a sidewalk on the north side of Second Street between Walnut Street and Maple Street.
