Additional Notes
Street Parking
Please refrain from street parking within the phase 3, 5, and 6 project areas if possible during the week of May 11. Street parking will not be allowed on phase 3, 5, and 6 Tuesday May 12, Thursday May 14, & Friday May 15 for milling and paving operations.
Sump Pump Drainlines
During paving operations, keeping water out of the roadway is extremely important. To help keep the roadway dry please remove all sump pump drainlines from the curb & gutter and have them drain into the lawn. Please try and keep the water from entering the roadway if possible. You may also turn your sump pump to the sanitary sewer for the week of May 11 if you have the option.
Turf Establishment Care
To give your grass the best opportunity to flourish please consider the following
- Water the grass seed two times daily for 10-15 minutes
- Do not rake the hydromulch up. It contains seed and fertilizer. The hydromulch will naturally decompose.
- Do not add any chemicals/fertilizers to the newly seeded area. We have already added fertilizer and pre-emergent weed killer. Adding more can potentially burn the new grass seed.
- Avoid foot traffic on newly seeded areas.
- Begin mowing on the highest setting once the grass reaches a length of 6” – 8” and slowly lower the mower deck to the desired height over the course of 4 – 5 mows.
- Weeds may appear right away while the grass is getting established, but once mowing has begun the grass should take over and the weeds die off.
New Concrete Notice
Please avoid driving on newly poured concrete curbs and driveways for at least 7 days to allow proper curing and strength development.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve your streets.
