Project Update – October 6, 2023
The paving contractor will be in town Monday morning, October 9, to place the first lift of bituminous on the remaining streets of the project. These streets consist of Galbraith Street, Moore Street, and 3rd Street from Galbraith Street to Main Street. We kindly ask that all vehicles are off from the streets listed above by 6:00 am Monday morning. You will be able to park on these streets again Monday evening. Holtmeier will continuing prepping the remaining boulevards for sod installation once paving is finished.
Sod is currently being placed along Ramsey Street, 1st Street, and 3rd Street. As mentioned earlier, a newsletter regarding sod care and tree installation will be mailed out within the next few weeks. Please note that the contractor will be responsible for maintaining the sod for the first 30 days. During this time, they will monitor the sod and water as needed.
The concrete crew plans to finish pouring concrete sidewalk and driveways on the remaining portion of the project this week. Following all concrete work, the remaining streets will be prepared for bituminous. More information will be provided when we have a date for paving.
We appreciate your patience throughout the duration of the project! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
