Funding Updates
As of Spring 2023, funding for the levee improvements has reached over $8.8 million. To date, the city has received $6 M from the MN State Legislature bonding bill, $2.5M from congressionally directed spending, a $150,000 Flood Mitigation Grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR), and a $150,000 grant from the Lower Minnesota River Watershed District (LMRWD). The City of Carver continues to pursue outside funding opportunities that will allow for additional phases of construction.
