Project Summary
In 2022, the City of Hopkins began a planning process to enhance its park system to better meet community needs. This comprehensive effort identified five key themes: Racial equity, park accessibility, gatherings and community building, parks for all, and quality. Following the completion of the planning process in 2023 and 2024, Central Park was chosen as the first site for improvements with an emphasis on sustainability. The Hopkins Central Park Improvement Project will revitalize the park to fit the needs and wants of the community, providing a space that all can enjoy. Construction for improvements to Hopkins Central Park will begin in Spring 2026.
