9th Street Utility and Street Improvements
Project Overview
The City of International Falls is improving 9th Street from 14th Avenue to Highway 53. The proposed improvements include:
- Addition of a multi-use path along the north side of the corridor
- New concrete curb and gutter and roadway pavement
- Water main, storm sewer and sanitary sewer replacements
- Lead service line replacement
Project Updates: Oct. 27, 2025
Completed work
- Finished the following work on 9th Avenue from 11th Avenue to 8th Avenue:
- Sub-cutting
- Gravel placement
- Curb and gutter installation
- Paving the first layer of pavement
Upcoming work
- Finish paving from 11th Avenue to 8th Avenue.
- Begin lead service line replacement from curb to water meter from 11th Avenue to 8th Avenue. This will require work authorization from property owners.
