9th Street Utility and Street Improvements
Project Overview
The City of International Falls is improving 9th Street from 14th Avenue to Highway 53. The proposed improvements include:
- Addition of a multi-use path along the north side of the corridor
- New concrete curb and gutter and roadway pavement
- Water main, storm sewer and sanitary sewer replacements
- Lead service line replacement
July 17, 2026
Work completed this week
- Curb and gutter installations from 8th Avenue to 6th Avenue.
- Water main installations on 9th Street from 5th Avenue to 4th Avenue.
Work planned for next week
- Hydrant relocation at the 6th Avenue / 9th Street intersection
- Install curb and gutter from 8th Avenue to 6th Avenue.
- Install sewer on 9th Street from 5th Avenue to 4th Avenue.
- Sub cut and gravel placement on 500 block.
- Install sewer and water services on 400 block.
