Week of 5/5/2025

• A public hearing for the project was held at the May 6th, 2025 Council Meeting. Following the hearing, the City Council ordered the improvements and awarded a construction contract to Valley Paving, Inc.
• At this time, Valley Paving expects to begin construction around late June. This is a rough early estimate – the schedule may change quickly depending on the contractor’s availability. Once the project is awarded, the contractor may begin work at any time – please stay aware of construction updates.
• Once a firmer construction start date is known, the City will hold a neighborhood construction meeting to provide project information and review construction impacts. The City will send a resident letter with meeting and construction information as well as updating this website.

Week of 3/17/2025

• Feasibility Reports were accepted by the City Council on March 18, 2025, plans and specifications were approved, and the project was ordered to be bid.
• A public hearing for the project has been called for the May 6, 2025 Council Meeting. The City Council may recommend awarding a construction contract for the project following the hearing.

Week of 2/24/2025

• City Council authorized preliminary design and the preparation of the Feasibility Report on September 17, 2024.
• Project Staff held neighborhood preliminary design meetings with Irish Court, Lake Elmo Vista, and Prairie Hamlet neighborhoods on January 28 and 29, 2025.
• City Council authorized the Preparation of Plans and Specifications at the City Council Meeting on February 18th, 2025. Direction was provided by the Council not to include extension of watermain to any neighborhood.
• The Feasibility Report and will be presented to the City Council on March 18, 2025.
