An in-person neighborhood construction open house will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Lake Elmo City Hall. After a short (15 minute) presentation reviewing construction impacts and schedules, residents may meet with the project team and discuss project questions.

Week of 5/26/2025

The project contractor, Valley Paving, intends to begin work in late June. Their preliminary schedule is as follows:

• Late June: Begin Irish Court N
• Mid-July: Begin Teal Pass Estates
• Early August: Begin 55th/57th/Julep and 55th Street N (Lake Elmo Vista)
• Mid-August: Begin Prairie Hamlet

Please note this is a tentative schedule – depending on the needs of the project, these dates may change or be updated. Stay informed with project updates if you have concerns about the schedule.

Residents are responsible for removing private property (sprinkler systems, electric dog fences, landscaping etc.) from the City right-of-way before construction. A practical effort will be made to coordinate removals, but repair and replacement of private property will be the property owner’s responsibility should any damage occur.

Week of 5/5/2025

• A public hearing for the project was held at the May 6th, 2025 Council Meeting. Following the hearing, the City Council ordered the improvements and awarded a construction contract to Valley Paving, Inc.
• At this time, Valley Paving expects to begin construction around late June. This is a rough early estimate – the schedule may change quickly depending on the contractor’s availability. Once the project is awarded, the contractor may begin work at any time – please stay aware of construction updates.
• Once a firmer construction start date is known, the City will hold a neighborhood construction meeting to provide project information and review construction impacts. The City will send a resident letter with meeting and construction information as well as updating this website.
