The Steering Committee also conducted a SWOT analysis for the City of Scandia. A SWOT analysis is a tool used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This exercise allows the team to identify strategies to take advantage of existing strengths and opportunities, and to manage weaknesses and threats. Ultimately, this analysis will help inform the vision, goals and objectives included in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. See the Steering Committee’s list of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats in the pictures below.

Steering Committee Meeting #2

The second Steering Committee meeting was held on April 20, 2017 to review the results of the SWOT analysis and to begin drafting a community survey. The community survey is expected to be sent to residents in May, 2017.
