Project Updates – November 5, 2024
The assessment hearing for the Phase 2 project was held at the November 4, 2024 City Council meeting. The City Council certified the final assessment roll at this meeting. Property owners that have an assessment may prepay the assessment without interest until December 4, 2024 at City Hall. If that does not occur, no action needs to be taken by the property owner and the assessed amount will go on the property owner’s tax statement at a rate of 4.1% and a term of 10 years.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the construction of this project!

The streets and sidewalks are now officially open to the public! There will still be some minor construction items to be finalized this fall, but will be of minimal impact to streets and properties. These small areas will be coned off as needed in the coming weeks. Thank you all for the patience and understanding during this summer to complete this project!
We are still available to help as construction wraps up. Please contact Dalmas Omwoyo at 651-728-0312, with any questions, property specific needs, and accommodations.

The project is close to being finished! Stage 2 areas will be closed Friday, Sept. 20, so the contractor can raise manholes and gate valves in the pavement. Next week the contractor will be finishing sod, landscape work, and sign installation in Stage 2, along with striping both Stage 1 and Stage 2. Assuming weather cooperates, it is anticipated that these items will be completed by the end of next week and the streets will then be officially open. There will still be some smaller items remaining for the contractor to complete and property specific repairs, but those will be manageable under traffic conditions.
Please contact our on-site project representative, Dalmas Omwoyo at 651-728-0312, with any questions, property specific needs, and accommodations.

Sidewalk work was completed in Stage 2 this week. There is still work to do behind the curb with adding topsoil, sod, and other landscaping items. This work is anticipated to occur next week. All project streets will be soft open for Nickle Dickle Day to allow for the car show and all other activities to occur. There will be cones and ribbon to show potential trip hazards or other obstacles as this is still a construction zone. Please take caution walking through the site. Stage 1 will be opening to traffic following Nickle Dickle Day. Stage 2 will remain closed to traffic following this weekend while final work is being completed. Striping is scheduled for the end of September and it is currently anticipated that all streets will be fully open to traffic in early October.
Please contact our on-site project representative, Dalmas Omwoyo at 651-728-0312, with any questions, property specific needs, and accommodations.
