New Beaumont Ave Street and Utility Extension

Construction Updates

The contract for the Beaumont Avenue Street And Utility Extension Project was awarded to SM Hentges & Sons Inc. by the City Council of Jordan at the 5/12/26 City Council Meeting. Work on the project will begin mid/late June and continue until November. Work may be constructed in phases, with work initially focusing on utility construction around 195th Street prior to August, and a second phase of construction occurring near 190th Street through the late summer and fall, after the Scott County Fair. Access restrictions along 190th Street are not planned. For construction along the gravel portion of 195th Street, the project team and contractor (SM Hentges & Sons) will be reaching out to individual property owners in advance.  A project newsletter has been sent to area residents, and you can also view the Project Newsletter (PDF) online.

Background

The City of Jordan is undertaking a construction project to extend roadway and utilities south of 190th Street and north of 195th Street, between Beaumont Avenue and Corporate Drive. Utility extensions include construction of new sanitary sewers, watermain, and storm sewer. Roadway extension includes Beaumont Avenue, being extended 1,250’ south of 190th Street.
