2026 Infrastructure Improvements

Construction Update

July 10, 2026

Construction on the City of Jordan’s 2026 Infrastructure Improvements project is ongoing, and the contractor is making great progress. Please see below for a summary of the work completed this week, what to expect next week, and some general information to be aware of.

Week of July 6

Milling took place at Ervin Industrial Dr, Enterprise Dr, Corporate Dr, 185th St, the East side of Timberline Neighborhood, and Bridle Creek/Arbor View.

The bituminous patching crew placed new bituminous material (blacktop) in areas that were milled down to the aggregate base. They will also be completing trail paving in these same areas. They have completed this work in Ervin Industrial Dr, Enterprise Dr, Corporate Dr, 185th St and east side of Timberline neighborhood.

  • Please do not place heavy loads (Trailers, jacks, pallets, etc.) on the new asphalt pavement. While traveling on new asphalt, please keep speeds low and avoid sharp turning motions and spinning your tires in place. These will leave blemishes on the new asphalt.
  • Avoid having children and animals on the new pavement until it cools down. The mix is installed at 275 – 350 degrees.

Paving crews have completed the overlay ton the milled roadways in Ervin Industrial Dr, Enterprise Dr, Corporate Dr, and 185th .

Concrete crews have finished installing concrete curb and gutter along with pedestrian crossings in Sawmill Woods and Bridle Creek/Arbor View.

The bituminous (blacktop) patching crew will install bituminous patches in front of the new curb and gutter in Sawmill Woods on Saturday, July 11

Irrigation crews have continued repairing irrigation in Bridle Creek/Arbor View and Sawmill Woods. They have completed repairs in these areas.

Week of July 13

Paving crews will begin to overlay the milled roadways on the East side of Timberline Neighborhood. Weather permitting, crews will plan to start overlaying new asphalt on Monday morning. Crews will then install overlay on the Bridle Creek/Arbor View, starting as soon as Tuesday.

  • Please have all vehicle, trailers, and any items off of the roadways by 7 a.m. We will have to tow vehicles that are in the way of construction operations.

After areas are milled, a bituminous patching crew will place new bituminous material (blacktop) in areas that were milled down to the aggregate base. Once the areas are patched, then the new patch will match the grade of the milled roadway. Bituminous patching will take place in Bridle Creek/ArborView area on Monday.

  • These areas will be several inches lower than the existing pavement until the contractor begins patching the streets. Please be cautious while traveling in the area.

Excavation of the new Hope Ave parking lot will begin mid-week.

Reclaim will take place at Lincoln Ave toward the end of the week, weather permitting. The day after reclaiming, crews will be paving Lincoln Ave.

Crews will begin sawcutting curb and gutter along with sidewalks on Hope Ave & Park Drive, starting as soon as Wednesday. The curb will not be removed until a later date.

General Notes

The contractor will be placing “No Parking” Signs in areas that will be getting milled and paved the night before the work takes place. Please be aware of these signs and do not park in these areas of roadway during this time. If you have questions, please reach out to the project team listed below.

The Project team will be putting out notices 1-2 days prior to paving activities with information regarding the new pavement. Please read and respect the recommendations listed on these notices.

If you need to drive over the fresh asphalt, please observe and listen to the directions given by the workers. Please keep your speed low to avoid spinning your tires and harsh turning motions. Please do not place heavy loads on new asphalt (including trailers and jacks) for 3 days.
