Assessment Information
The assessments for the Martindale-Henning-Hickory Reclamation Project were adopted by the City Council at their meeting on July 22, 2025. Payment options for the final assessment of $5,870.00 are as follows:
Until Nov. 3, 2025: Prepayment
Payments may be made without interest to the City of Prior Lake until November 3, 2025 as follows:
- Pay online with EFT (check)
- Pay online with credit/debit card
- Subject to merchant fees paid by resident
- 2.95% of the transaction, or $1.95 fixed, whichever is higher
- Note that this equates to $173.17 for a $5,870.00 transaction
- American Express cannot be accepted
- Subject to merchant fees paid by resident
- Pay by mail or in person with check
- Make check payable to City of Prior Lake
- Include the property address and/or property ID number
- (Optional) include your email address if you would like a receipt emailed to you
- Checks may be mailed or delivered in person to City Hall (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 4646 Dakota Street SE, Prior Lake, MN 55372
- Pay by mail with Bill Pay
- Please contact your financial institution for instructions.
Note that checks are deposited on a weekly basis, so please allow up to two weeks for checks to clear.
After Nov. 3, 2025: Certify to Your Property Taxes
Any unpaid special assessment balance after November 3, 2025 will be certified to Scott County with 5.7% annual interest rate for inclusion on your property taxes installments over a ten-year period beginning in 2026. Please see the sample payment schedule below showing the projected annual payments.
