2025 190th Street Reconstruction

Project Newsletter – June 2025

190^th Street between CR 9 and Beaumont Avenue will be closed to thru traffic starting June 4th. Read the latest updates to traffic closures and construction in the July Construction Newsletter.

Upcoming traffic control change at CR 9 and 190th Street for MnDOT’s CR 9 Roundabout Construction: Starting the week of July 21, MnDOT intends to implement a traffic control change at the CR 9 and 190th Street/Valley View Drive Intersection. Traffic will be switched over to the east side of CR 9 at the 190th Street / Valley View Drive intersection for construction of the west half of the roundabout that is part of the Highway 169 / TH 282 / CR 9 Interchange project. CR 9 through traffic will be maintained with one lane in each direction via the newly constructed eastern half of the roundabout. With this traffic control change, 190th Street will be closed at CR 9 for all motorists. All traffic, including local traffic with direct access off of 190th Street, will need to follow the detour along 185th Street and Beaumont Avenue as depicted on the detour map. This closure is expected to be in place through October 2025.

Project background

These improvements will replace the deteriorating pavement and prepare the corridor for future growth and development in the area. Key improvements include:

Addition of center left-turn lane and right-turn lanes
Addition of concrete curb and gutter and storm sewer
Improved stormwater management
Preparing the south side of the roadway for a future multi-use trail

This construction will align with the Hwy 169 / Hwy 282 / Co. Rd. 9 interchange construction which includes a roundabout at the Co. Rd. 9 / 190th St. / Valley View Dr. intersection. More information about that project can be found on the project website.
