  • Crews are currently in the process of collecting topographic survey data, which is still ongoing. We anticipate holding a formal meeting with residents in early 2025 to discuss the high-level project scope and next steps. This update follows the letter sent on September 9th(see below), which indicated the beginning of the field survey work as part of our pre-design process. Thank you for your patience as we continue this important groundwork!

  • As part of the pre-design process, the design team will need to conduct a field survey to fully understand the land details such as where underground utilities are located, what type of condition the sewer pipes are in, where the city right-of-way lines and owner property lines are, and if any easement agreements are going to be needed once construction begins.
  • You can expect to see crews out collecting this information beginning in September. There will be minimal disruptions, but you may see some paint markings and small utility flags once the survey crews identify locations of underground utilities and property lines.
  • Part of the survey work also includes soil boring which is a process that involves drilling small holes into the ground to collect soil and bedrock samples. The samples will be analyzed to help the engineers better predict any issues that may arise during construction.
